SINGAPORE ROWING ASSOCIATION


NAME & AFFILIATION

The Association shall be called "The Singapore Rowing Association" and shall be affiliated to the Singapore National Olympic Council, The International Rowing Federation (FISA), The Asian Rowing Federation and The South East Asian Rowing Federation


OBJECTIVES

To promote sport of rowing* in Singapore
* As defined as propelling, by means of oars supported by riggers, a boat which is fitted with sliding seats to allow most of the propulsive force to be developed by the oarsmen legs. Rowing boats are races by crews of one, two, four or eight oarsman

To coordinate, regulate, advise an administer matters relating to the sport of rowing and act as National Authority under the FISA rules and to safeguard the interests of the sport.

To arrange and manage an annual championship for rowing and sculling and other competitions at local, regional and international levels and fix the conditions of competitions; and to give or contribute towards prizes and awards thereof

To select oarsmen to represent the Republic of Singapore in national, regional or international competitions.

To assist organizations interested in encouraging young persons to participate in the sport of rowing.

To provide adaptive rowing to the disabled.
