MEMBERSHIP
There shall be two
categories of membership, namely, ORDINARY and ASSOCIATE
ORDINARY Membership of the Association
shall open to any Club, Association or Society having as its object, the
promotion of rowing.
ASSOCIATE Membership shall be open to
any individual who is interested in rowing. An Associated member shall
have no voting rights at General Meetings and shall not hold office.
(i)
Application for membership shall be made in writing to the Honorary
Secretary and shall include such particulars as may be required by the
Management Committee.
(ii)The Honorary Secretary shall submit
every application for membership to meeting of the Management Committee
and at such meeting; the Management Committee shall proceed to the
election or rejection of the application.
ENTRANCE AND ANNUAL FEES
An ORDINARY MEMBER shall pay an ENTRANCE Fee upon admission and
thereafter an annual fee.
An ASSOCIATE MEMBER
shall pay an ENTRANCE Fee upon admission and thereafter an annual fee.
Annual Fees are due
and payable on the first day of January of each year and any member
whose fee is more than three months in arrears may be suspended by the
Management Committee. Fees may be paid monthly with the consent of the
Committee.
The rates of
ENTRANCE and ANNUAL FEES shall be determined by a General Meeting.
Present rates are
as follows:
Entrance: $300.00
Annual: Ordinary Members - $300.00
Associate Members - $300.00 (corrected on 15 December
2007)
The Committee
retains the discretion to reduce fees in cases of genuine hardship.
